Added functions The tournament version of the RealSport Raptor offers added functionality for tournament play. The rifle is disabled when the player is knocked out of the game. A durable cable links the receiver and rifle, enabling IrES tournament features. The cable is heavy-duty to ensure robustness in the field. In addition, if it is cut, pulled out or tampered with in any way, the gun will remain disabled. Protection circuitry ensures that players can't damage the electronics by cutting the cable and shorting or applying excessive spurious voltages. The cable also allows a no-self-hit feature (without any invulnerability). This ensures that players can't hit themselves when playing indoors or in close surroundings. The quick-disconnect plug allows the use of multiple tournament-equipped transmitters during the same game. High-quality connectors ensure that the cable is securely attached to the gun and receiver, but also easily removed to change weapons during a game. |
