Each S-M8 MilSim Assault Rifle complete basic package includes the following items:

- ? Standard system: this system doesn’t use a cable between the receiver control box and the rifle. With this option, you lose the feature that turns the rifle off after the player is dead and there is a slight chance you can accidentally score a hit on yourself when the beam bounces off a surface
- Tournament-equipped systems feature the following additional features:
- ? Cable connecting the receiver control box and rifle (standard system doesn’t require this cable)
- ? Turns the rifle off when the player is out of lives
- ? Eliminates the slight chance of a self-hit possible with the standard system
- ? One hit takes away one life. There are two settings for re-hit delay. For details, check out the Features section
- ? Default set to six lives. Toggle switch allows adjusting this after startup from 1-99. For details, check out the Features section
- ? Bright red LED display clearly shows number of lives remaining on the receiver control box

- Universal Remote Feature:
- ? A great feature for field owners and other rental facilities. When this feature is enabled, the unit can be controlled by the universal remote controller
- ? The on/off power rocker switch is replaced with a key-style switch to prevent players from being able to reset their own equipment
- ? Allows all of the equipped units in range to be reset at once (judge can reset all players at once)
- ? The judge can adjust everyone’s lives up or down
- ? The judge can reset the hit delay from three seconds to a quarter second
