IrES System Features

Each S-M8 MilSim Assault Rifle complete basic package includes the following items:

1 M-10 MilSim Assault Rifle
- » Sleek, high-strength design for realistic look/feel and maximum durability
- » Rugged ABS plastic with cast polyurethane internal walls for realistic weight and feel (much heavier than normal ABS plastic enclosures)
- » Rifle weighs just over 5 lbs. (2.3 Kg)
- » 600 foot-plus range, using harmless infrared beams
- » High-quality speaker for realistic sound effects
- » First commercial system to use removable ammo clips for authentic game play. For details on the clips, check out the Features section. Two magazines are included with each kit
- » Bright red muzzle-flash LED for added weapon realism
- » Compatible with other existing systems (e.g., Worlds of Wonder)
- » Operates on four AAA batteries (not included), either alkaline or AAA rechargeable (NiCad or NmH) batteries

- » Mounts four targets to allow for complete coverage of the head. Its hook-and-loop fastener can be adjusted to fit over any head size and can be worn over a hat of your choice

- » Targets have removable, differently colored covers, which allow players to identify teams by color
- » Any number of targets can be “daisy chained” to allow better coverage of the body (e.g., adding a vest with four more mounting points to a headband or helmet)

- » Anti-cheat timer mechanism, reset when rifle and receiver is powered up or any parameters are changed. For details, check out the Features section
- » Single-shot, three-shot burst, and full-automatic fire modes
- » Bright red LED display clearly shows ammo remaining on the rifle
- » Random malfunction feature to simulate battlefield conditions
- » Audible low-battery warning feature on the rifle and receiver control box
- » Unique magazine features requiring changing of clips. Either switch back and forth between A-B series clips (unlimited ammo) or use 1-8 Series clips (limited ammo). For details, check out the Features section
- » Standard system: this system doesn’t use a cable between the receiver control box and the rifle. With this option, you lose the feature that turns the rifle off after the player is dead and there is a slight chance you can accidentally score a hit on yourself when the beam bounces off a surface
Tournament-equipped systems feature the following additional features:
- » Cable connecting the receiver control box and rifle (standard system doesn’t require this cable)
- » Turns the rifle off when the player is out of lives
- » Eliminates the slight chance of a self-hit possible with the standard system
- » One hit takes away one life. There are two settings for re-hit delay. For details, check out the Features section
- » Default set to six lives. Toggle switch allows adjusting this after startup from 1-99. For details, check out the Features section
- » Bright red LED display clearly shows number of lives remaining on the receiver control box

Options available:

Gear for Target Mounting:
- » Tactical helmet: If you choose this option, this replaces the headband that comes standard with this package
- » Tactical vest: If you choose this option, this replaces the headband that comes standard with this package.
- » Tactical vest and headband: If you choose this option you will receive both of these items, which includes four additional targets for a total of eight targets. This option improves coverage of the body (for example, to prevent hiding of targets)
- » Tactical vest and tactical helmet: If you choose this option, you will receive both of these items, which includes four additional targets (for a total of eight targets). This option improves coverage of the body (to prevent hiding of targets).
Game Play System
- Random malfunction feature:
  - » Simulates real-life conditions. For details, check out the Features section.
- Universal Remote Feature:
  - » A great feature for field owners and other rental facilities. When this feature is enabled, the unit can be controlled by the universal remote controller
  - » The on/off power rocker switch is replaced with a key-style switch to prevent players from being able to rest their own equipment
  - » Allows all of the equipped units in range to be reset at once (judge can reset all players at once)
  - » The judge can adjust everyone’s lives up or down
  - » The judge can reset the hit delay from three seconds to a quarter second
